"Sowing Seeds of Faith, Reaping a Harvest of Results" -- Cequita Clark
My name is Cequita Clark. I was born in a small town in Mississippi. I am the middle child of three children. I graduated high school in 1996, and started college in the fall of the same year. I met my husband my senior year of high school and married him the summer of 1997. We moved from Mississippi in 1998 to start our new life in the city.
Coming from Mississippi, Georgia seemed like New York! I began working in the field of customer service in the banking industry. After giving birth to my last child, my husband and I decided that it would be better for me to stay at home with the children and not work. Being the independent person that I am, I thought that it would be a great idea to keep a few children, in my home, until my children were old enough to go to school. My three to four year plan turned out to be a life long career.
I started to enjoy watching the children learn and develop into toddlers and then school agers. After working in my home with the children for five years, I decided to go back to school for Early Childhood Education. In May of 2008, I received my Associate Degree in Education. I was still not satisfied. I wanted more. May of 2012, I received my Bachelor Degree in Education/Special Needs from Mercer University. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I have worked with children, age birth to twelve, for over ten years. Watching children grow up and learn new things is exciting to me. This is why I chose to follow my passion and become a teacher.
